Class Description
ACRO 1 (5+ YEARS)
Must be currently enrolled in a ballet class at Allegro to enroll for this class. This class is level 1 in the Acrobatic Arts Certified Program. The program is based on safe and effective progressions with proven results in five divisions of AcroDance: Flexibility, Strength, Balancing, Limbering and Tumbling. Developed with input from professionals and experts in ballet, modern dance, jazz, contortion, artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, sport acrobatics, yoga, acro yoga, pilates, physiotherapy, hand balancing and more, you will not find a more comprehensive program.

ACRO II
Must be currently enrolled in ballet at Allegro to register for this class and MUST be placed per instructors request. The class level is based on safe and effective progressions with proven results in five divisions of AcroDance: Flexibility, Strength, Balancing, Limbering and Tumbling. Developed with input from ballet, modern dance, jazz, contortion, artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, sport acrobatics, yoga, acro yoga, pilates, physiotherapy, hand balancing and more, you will not find a more comprehensive program.

ADULT BALLET
This class takes your ballet training to the next level. Dancers will level up fundamental techniques & enhance more exciting skills like leaps and turns, as well as more intricate choreography. No pressure to dress in formal attire, Dancers may wear form fitting activewear, solid color leotard, skirts, warm ups, and or ballet pink tights. It is suggested hair be pulled back and out of the face, ballet buns are welcome, and Ballet shoes to be worn.

BEGINNER BALLET
(5-6 years) 1 year
Introducing Dancers who are brand new to ballet or coming from the Recreation program ages 5+ and are wanting to pursue ballet in a more structured classroom. Foundation of Ballet with formal training consisting of barre and center work, posture, placement, precise technique and comportment of classical ballet will be emphasized. Providing dancers with all of the necessary tools to improve their skills to progress to Ballet I.
BALLET I
(6-8 years) 1-2 years in Level
Director approval for placement. This class focuses on building a solid Ballet Technique with an emphasis on proper body placement to ensure safe execution as the skill levels advance. Ballet I is a much more structured class as this is the next level from Beginning Ballet. Focusing on alignment, flexibility, coordination, physical, and cognitive understanding necessary for Classical Ballet training. Dress Code: Lavender scoop leotard with no skirt, pink ballet tights, pink ballet shoes, hair in bun. Boys wear black leggings or shorts and white t-shirt with black ballet shoes.
BALLET II (A)
(7-9 years) 1-2 years in Level
Students MUST be placed in this class per the Director. This class meets twice weekly and students are required to attend both classes. This is for students who are working towards moving into a higher level in the future. Foundations for Ballet II (A) bridges a structured class environment with formal training of barre and center work. This is the next level of advancement after a student acquires the necessary skills from Ballet I. Balance, Flexibility and musicality are important factors learned at this level.

BALLET II (B)
(8-11 years) 1-2 years in Level
Students MUST be placed in this class per the Director. This class meets twice weekly and students are required to attend both classes. This is for students who are working towards moving into a higher level in the future. Continuing to enhance technique emphasized as new steps are introduced in Ballet II (B) bridges a structured class environment with formal training of exercises presented at the barre and centre work. Patterns and combinations increase in intensity and there is a more focus on balance, flexibility, and agility. This is the next level of advancement after a student acquires the necessary skills from Ballet II (A).
BALLET III (A)
(8-11 years) 2-3 years in Level
MUST be placed in this class by the Director with an audition placement and interview. This class meets three times a week and attendance is required at all classes. These class incorporates Pre-Pointe skills which will benefit dancers who are working towards being on pointe. The class will continue the ballet dancers' education in the technique of classical ballet. Ballet III (A) encourages students to work toward artistic expression while emphasizing technique, musicality, balance, stamina and strength. Dress code: Maroon scoop leotard, maroon dance skirt optional no other colors please. Pink tights, pink ballet flats, and hair in a bun. All ballet boys are required to wear form fitting black shorts or leggings, fitting white T shirt and black ballet shoes.
BALLET III (B)
(10-13 years) 2-3 years in Level
MUST be placed in this class by the Director with an audition placement and interview. This class meets three times a week and attendance is required at all classes. This class will continue the ballet dancers' education in the technique of classical ballet. Incorporating Pre-Pointe skills which will benefit dancers to improve and work towards being on pointe. Ballet III (B) is when dancers are evaluated for pointe, while encouraging artistic expression, emphasizing technique, musicality, balance, stamina and strength, and increasing the intensity of combination. Dress code: Maroon scoop leotard, maroon dance skirt optional no other colors please, pink tights, pink ballet flats, and hair in a bun. All ballet boys are required to wear form fitting black shorts or leggings, fitting white T shirt and black ballet shoes.
BALLET IV (A/B)
(12-15+ years) 3-4 years in Level
Must be placed into this class by the Director with an audition placement and interview. This class meets four times a week and incorporates barre work and strength for classical techniques. Pointe work, and Beginning pointe work is an additional class that encourages the dancers to learn, and progress in their pointe work skills. Female dancers are required to be on pointe, and Director will approve dancers individually for pointe shoes. Dress code: Black leotard, plain black skirt optional, pink tights, pink flats, pink pointe shoes. and hair in a ballet bun.

DANCE FITNESS
A dance fitness class for adults. With original choreography and hit music, this is a perfect balance of cardio and toning. Designed to follow a HIIT format. You will sweat until you sparkle, and have fun doing it! Remember you don't have to be "a dancer" to join the fun.

HIP HOP
Hip Hop is a great way to burn energy. With clean music and age appropriate moves, dancers will love this class!
JAZZ I/II/III/IV
Jazz is a stylistic dance form. Dancers will be learning the commercial style of jazz with the likes of which you see used in Broadway and music videos. Jumps, turns, progressions, and combinations. Starting with the introductory level, and continuing in the progression of Jazz dance beyond to the intermediate, to advanced level.
K-POP
Encompasses a wide range of musical styles, including pop, hip-hop, R&B, and electronic dance music. Originating in South Korea. Join in this super fun dance experience! Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or just starting, our K-Pop class is designed to immerse you in the enthusiastic beats and dynamic moves of your favorite K-Pop hits and choreography

LYRICAL
Meet your creative potential in our Beginning/intermediate lyrical class where dancers will tell a story through movement. These classes are more ballet-centric which pull more elements from jazz and include more floorwork.
REHEARSAL
As Needed, Dancers/Classes who are assigned will be announced for Friday rehearsals.
SPECIALTY
Class(es) will be once a month for Ballet IV, and invited dancers by Director to attend.

SUPER STARS
This class is suitable for special needs students. Dancers will cover a mix of different styles including ballet and tap. Comfortable clothing and tap shoes required.
Tap I/II
This level introduces the student to fundamental tap techniques arranged in combinations, with the main goal in the beginning tap levels are identifying, utilizing and demonstrating tap terminology as well as understanding tap as a form of entertainment. Students will learn different elements of classical rhythmic and modern tap dancing.

TEEN BALLET I
Teen Ballet is an beginner level course. Students will learn the basics in positions and terminology. This class introduces safe stretching and strong technique in classical ballet builds on the concepts learned in Teen Ballet I.
TEEN BALLET II
Teen Ballet II is an Intermediate level course. Students will learn the basics in positions and terminology. This class introduces safe stretching and strong technique in classical ballet.
RECREATION

PREK (3/4 YEARS)
Students in this course will learn Ballet foundations along with Jazz, Hip Hop and Creative movement. Consider this class a sampler of the styles we offer at Allegro. PreK students will have a blast with action songs and story telling.

PRE-K
(Tap 3/4 yrs)
PreK Tap class will introduce beginning tap technique, rhythm, musicality, and timing. All classes begin with a warm-up, center work, and across the floor exercises. Prek Tap class will focus on flexibility, balance, learning choreography and developing performance skills, along with boosting self-confidence!
REC (5-8) Mixed Styles
Students in this course will learn Ballet foundations along with Jazz, Hip Hop and Creative movement. Consider this class a sampler of the styles we offer at Allegro.
MUSICAL THEATER (9+ years)
Learn the history of Broadway musicals through dance. With components of ballet, tap, and jazz, musical theater dancers are, first and foremost, actors and place a high focus on musical interpretation
